Fly to Sydney via Canberra's Fast Rail

Canberra Airport has put forward a proposal to offset the costs of building a second airport in Sydney by investing in the expansion of Canberra airport in conjunction with a high speed rail link between Canberra and Sydney. Read more about it here.

I say go for it! Canberra's previous attempt at international flights ended in failure but it didn't have any kind of financial or infrastructure support that their current proposal has. Plus, a fast train between Canberra and Sydney will be a big boon for Canberra residents and businesses as well as Sydneysiders with links to the bush capital.
